Default Union 76 Preformance Gas

I went up to thunderhill, to watch the SCCA race, and I filled up with their 92 octane fuel, I can tell some differnce, It runs a lot smoother than chevron 91. anyone else notice this? they also had 110 octane unleaded... for $5.20 a gal.

Their 110 octane is some good stuff. When I had gotten done installing a supercharger on my Miata, that was my first tank of gas. The car ran like a SOB.

So I hate to say it but you're most likely suffering from the placebo effect. Even if you filled up with the 110 Octane gas, it would be unlikely that you would have any impact on the performance of the car without additional tuning. The ECU is tuned to run on 91 Octane gas, additional octane should have no additional impact.

After the original tank provided by the dealer I've only used 76 with the exception of one time where I was running short and had to use Chevron. I know that I've sworn by 76 in the past on my motorcycles and after seeing the crappier performance and loss of 2-3 mpg with the Chevron, I'll only be using 76 in the future.

I dunno Chevron with Techron premium 92 in WA is rated top quality by most of the gear heads here. I used Chevron on my modded 300zxTT running at 18PSI and she ran perfect on that gas.
