Update.
[quote name='Bass' date='Feb 9 2005, 03:43 PM'] I don't believe S2ki is at fault but rather people need to be aware of who they are dealing with when they buy and sell. Ask for references, although in this case references did not help! get contact info (not just a cell) ask for the home address, contact the locals in the club, may escrow
There should be some recourse for things like this however as Brant stated this should be brought up in the Site Info section

So then it's OK to use S2KI as a vehicle to rob people because nothing bad will happen to your account? That's called being an accessory.. nice site.
). I simply stated that there are no rules governing that someone be banned for it.Drawing the line on what is fraud over the Internet is a tough line to draw - most of the time it is a "he said, she said" kind of thing - eventhough it clearly isn't that in this particular case (thanks to Bass
). And thank you Brant for understanding what I posted
I like the idea of someone writing a draft of what rules for this type of situation in Site Info. I've seen 3 nasty fraud cases go down on S2Ki since I joined - this is one of them - and another was one I was asked to get involved in because of my C.O. title in the Mid-A. I'm all for harsher penalties
If you want to see something get done, contact each of S2ki's vendors - Tire Rack, King, etc, and tell them you will not purchase any of their products as long as they sponsor a site that harbors criminals.

....... prove me wrong how I feel about this guy.
and you are NOT wrong about your feelings towards this guy
I wouldnt say S2ki is harboring criminals.. they are not a policing force. It is just like saying you own a strip of land and you rent out the space for retail stores... one of the stores rip you off so now the person who owns the retail strip is at fault. In this situation I think he should be banned BUT at this point I dont think he gives a shit if he is banned or not.
I would LOVE to see a EBAY type feedback system... why dont we have one? I think as a paying member I should deserve just a little bit more protection from scammers although it is still a buyer beware type of market.

you know hwy he is still here bcoz TRIP is just another member like you and me.
I rest my case.

It's not extreme at all to boycott the sponsors of an organization when they are doing the wrong thing. What S2ki is doing is sending a message that they do not care if someone gets ripped off and will not take any action to curb the activities of those that rip off people. They want your membership dollars and your banner ad click through dollars, but they don't particularly care about preventing anyone from using their forums to steal. If you were a site sponsor, is that the kind of organization you'd like to be associated with?
