Updated "Taking Delivery" letter to dealer question
I am happy to announce my introduction into the s2k craze. I will be taking delivery of a black on red s2k the second week of March. My question pertains to the taking delivery letter in the FAQ section. I noticed that it is geared towards the 2000 and 2001 models. What should I change in the letter for my new 2002? Thanks, and I look forward to being part of the S2Ki family.
WELCOME!!!! Now...
For God's sake, DON'T take that letter to the dealer, it's beyond snooty.
Read the FAQ, memorize it, talk with the dealer about it, enough said. The '02 is almost exactly like the '00's and '01's, no worries.

Although it's certainly possible that a dealer would be put off by the letter, I don't think that it's a foregone conclusion. Get a feel for whether your salesman understands the special nature of the S2000 as opposed to the Civics and Accords in their showroom, then decide.
I did use one (picked up my car this past Monday), and I had to modify it from the one in the FAQ. I can email you a copy, if you like, but here's the essential bits (I've removed a few items that I don't think were necessary, after being there for the PDI and seeing what was done).

Jeff:
Here is the information regarding delivery and options for my 2002 Sebring/Red S2000. Sorry if it sounds condescending, I only ask that your dealership please be patient and honor my requests.
Options:
q Honda Car Cover
q Engine Block Heater
q Hard Top
Notes for Delivery:
q Check VIN: ___________________
q Check for shipping spring holders/rubber spacers (14 total
