upgrades useless?

Thumbs up upgrades useless?

so ive got an V2 CAI, and a test pipe..on my 2001,
are these useless before i get my car tuned??? would i be losing power because its not tuned correctly??

nope you will get gains but you my frine dhave an 01, 00-01 will get the best bangs on VAFC do it! mine is coming in this week and iwth fulll bolts on and my gears = fast

Anytime you change parts going from OEM to aftermarket/performance on your car, it's a good idea to tune so that you benefit from the new additions. Although most can't afford to tune every time they put a new part on their car.

From what you've got above it may not be worth to tune yet. If your planning on adding some form of piggy back i.e. Vafc, or EMS then that's when you should start having it tuned as your money will go further when it comes time to tune.

so with VAFC, u have to have it dyno tuned right???
how much does that cost usually???

Once a Vafc is wired up it's generally a good idea to have it tuned right away to avoid any possible damage.

CAI and TP, that's it? How are you going to tune that? You have nothing with which to tune.

Don't bother with the VAFC, just those two mods aren't enough to really warrant the cost of the unit and the cost of the tune.

Just be sure to reset your ECU and let it relearn. You'll be fine.

so, when is a good time to get a VAFC??
i thought w/VAFC and tuning it is one of the best "bang for the buck"??(for 2001)
