Default urethane versus fiberglass

Could someone describe to me the pros / cons of fiberglass versus urethane lips and ground effects? Obviously fiberglass is stiff/brittle and urethane is flexible, but what else? Which is lighter? Which is generally higher quality? Which fits better? Which hold paint better? Which tends to cost more?

Thanks!

-Allen

My kit's FRP(fiber reinforced plastic). Most JDM kits are FRP I believe but not sure. Quality/fitment perfect on mine and super light.

to my knowledge the reason that all JDM major tuning houses use FRP is because the fitment is much better, the quality of the fiberglass they use is top notch. holds paint much better.

VeilSide used urehtane for the version1 kit. Urethane is more resilient than fiberglass, but its heavier. Now, that weight issue isn't a big deal for street use, but racing would be another story.

my personal opinion is I would rather get urethane, more resistance for everyday use, you slightly bump a curb with fiberglass and its broken, you bump it with urethane and it will probably be intact including the paint. But neither would be my choice, im looking for weight savers, not adding...:-)
