Hi all, I'm new here and have been looking at getting myself an S2000. I found a pretty smoking deal on a really nice S2000. The car in and out is flawless. The only problem is, its on its 4th owner, and it looks like it was at the dealership until about 1100 miles on the ODO. I haven't gotten it checked over yet, but what should I keep my eyes out for?

I've read through the major threads about what to look for on a used S2000. This is more of a "what would xxxxx do" type situation. Thanks.

 

Year and mileage would be good points to start with if you want people to help.

 

Yeah, I originally posted the carfax but decided that would be a bad idea. its a 2004 with 33,000 on the clock. 4 owners, for sale by one of the members actually. Just found it on the site:

Can't go wrong with SoS, unless it was a test car for his shop.

 

The problem with 4 owner cars is that you dont have most of the maintenance records and also you don't know whether the driving habits were bad or not. That said I would test drive it and get it checked out by another mechanic. If everythings fine then I would say buy it.

 

Yes, 4 owners is a problem. I wouldnt touch it unless its Honda certified.
