5. Excellent. As a matter of fact I got a new friction plate installed due to a Honda service bulletin. During the test drive I heard a slight rumbling sound on deceleration. Owner was clueless. Buddy of mine did a search on service bulletins and found one specifically for that reason. If you hear that sound on deceleration and your under warranty, you can get it fixed for free by Honda!! I can find out the service bulletin # if you need it. Let my wife drive my car today and bulletin is in the glove box. Having withdrawal pains!!
6. Stock Considering a few upgrades like a supercharger and a cup holder.
Anybody know of a good cupholder?

tmelch, I am very interested in your story. I've got a MY00 with 56K, and it has that problem. I've assumed that since the car is no longer under warranty, dealers won't honor the TSB's. Is your car under warranty? If not, did it take any work to get a dealer to cover the TSB work?
Congrats on the car!
(if you want to add a cupholder, the best way is to upgrade to an '04 center console, which has two. it also looks better anyway.)
Thanks!
Avi

It's interesting, the car was probably out of the 36 month warranty (still under 36000 miles though). The previous owner actually bought it around 1-6-01. One of the requirements of me buying the car was to have the 30,000 mile service done, which he agreed to. The day he brought the car to the Honda dealer (around the 20th of Jan) for the 30K service I informed him of the service bulletin and he said he'd try to get it covered under warranty. I faxed it to him and he showed it to the dealership and waala, they fixed it. We knew it was close but he didn't say and they didn't ask.
When I picked it up later that day (after the friction plate was replaced) I asked the service rep how much warranty was left. This is really great> He said there's a lot of warranty left! I said how much? He said there's a year left until Jan. 05! HE MISCALCUTED THE YEARS!!! But what was he going to do at that point. He just shrugged and I smiled! So I got a new clutch out of it, and rightfully so. I don't have to worry about a clutch going out for a while. So unless you get a REALLY, REALLY confused service rep I don't think you'll get yours covered at 56K. MAYBE you can drive to MY service rep here in Atlanta!!
Good idea on the center console, '04 has extra storage too. Bet it's pricey.

Damn I'm jealous, you lucky sonofagun! I'm gonna have to change my pressure plate out myself, hopefully sometime in the spring when it's a little warmer.
Actually there is a chance that I'll be in Atlanta sometime in the next 6 months, my brother-in-law recently got married and moved down there. We'll probably go to visit sometime soon. Maybe I'll drive the S2K down!
As for the center console, thanks! As for the price, PM or email hardtopguy and ask him, he's got a good rep here. Or try his website, http://www.hardtopguy.com/
Have a great weekend!
