used vs new S2000
I am thinking of getting a used or new S2000, cut to the chase, this is my pro/con
new (in order)
pro
1. new
2. can pick any color of your choice
con
1. can't have fun right away, have to wait 1000 miles (major con for me) since this is going to be weekend car for me. imagine how long you have to wait to get to that 1000 miles is already hurting my mind
2. price (although i could careless about price, but saving $4k is quite a lot) and price is at this point less important than not having fun right away....
used
pro
1. can have fun right away
2. price (with $4k, i can invest it on mugen header and mugen exhaust right on the spot) since I am already planning to spend that much. with new, i'll probably buy the mods in 06
con
1. used (no matter what, you don't know what's going on with the car, how the seller break it in, etc)
2. color (well, it's hard to find the right color with the right condition and the right price)
what's really holding me back is the fun factor, man, 1000 miles is quite a lot to drive just so i can have fun...
what do you think?

gameson: Drive an AP1 and an AP2 back to back. They're the same car, but the minute differences (i.e. low end torque vs. higher revs, etc.) may be enough to make your decision much easier. (It did for me.)
Also, if you get a new car, what makes you think the first 1000 miles aren't going to be any fun? The car has other redeemable qualities besides the powerband between 6-8000 rpm.

I say wait to get a new one. I'm still waiting to get an s2k and I'll probably be waiting another year or so. I have no patience either and it's killing me. Getting a new car will give you that peace of mind.
what i mean by fun is high reving and since i only use this car as weekend car, it will be hard to get 600 miles....
and i m looking for 04+ because of AP2. I like AP1, but I think having AP2 is a bit special since it's only for the USDM

Last month I was in the same boat as u. Money was the issue for me. But now I am going with a new one. 04 still cost 25k-26k... so I say hell 5K more and get that sweet new car smell and less then 10 miles on the odometer. U only live one.
