Palmateer is one who likes to cultivate palm trees.

A tropical backdrop of palms seems to suit photos of a fun-in-the sun roadster, don't you think?

Perhaps SlowDriver is a bit of tongue-in-cheek?

I'm going to have to cut-'n'-paste this story somewhere, so I can dig it up every time someone asks for name origins on a UBB.

My father played for a rock 'n' roll band in the '60s at Cornell U. He somehow got the nickname "Siper" from his friends, I'd presume, as it's derived from our last name.
He decided to write out the nickname on his guitar case with medical tape.

Years ago, when I was living at home, one of my closest friends stopped by to pick me up.
He had just begun playing guitar at that time, and spotted Dad's Epiphone case in the corner. He got a kick out of the "SIPER" thing and thought it appropriate for me. Everyone else called me that, and it just stuck.

"Siper2" seemed appropriate for a moniker!

2x6spds = [1993 Acura Legend LS coupe 6 speed] + [2000 Honda S2000 6 speed].

BTW, beautiful picture Palmateer! Now if I remember how to do this ...

a pair of Honda 6 spds.

Oooops! Forgot how to post pix.

I'm sure everyone could imagine a reason for my name. Truth be told, I once crossed the finishline at a PCA slalom event SIDEWAYS and took first place!

really funny, I used this image a few months ago (at the time I didn't know about this forum) to decide myself for the color of my car.
I knew my first move would be to paint the wheels black, but for the body color I hesitated between blk & silver, so I did photoshop tests.
Here is your car after my mods!!!
