I'm looking at doing a 280z with an LS1 and T56. After the swap the car weighs 30 pounds more with all the accessories.

Yes, but you start out with a boat anchor for a motor, not something sweet like the S2k motor.

I know because I too have one sitting around while I try to figure out what to put in there. I have a spare S2000 motor that I keep threatening to put in there and a friend keeps shooting for an ECOTEC with the dealer reflash for 290 hp and 300 lbs torque.

I'm considering the skyline set up. It would actually be lighter.

Consider the source and don't let it get to you. The fact that not everyone agrees with what you're doing with your car should not concern you; In fact, IMO, it should make you proud. Any car that is being built so that "everyone will like it" is going to fail, because it will be so boring that nobody will want anything to do with it. You obviously find your own way with such things, and should expect that not everyone is going to like it.

There are plenty of people here who don't like what I've done with my car, or who feel that I "abuse it," but their opinions have zero effect on how much I love and enjoy my lil Honda.

No matter what you do, you are going to find people who don't like it. As long as you don't over react to it, it says more about them than you, so it's just best to ignore it, or respond respectfully and factually.

I'd rather put a V-8 in my Miata than in the S2000, but my brother in law had one of the nicest V-8 conversions I've seen. They managed to squeeze a Chevy V-8 into an MG Midget, and the tiny car was just terrifyingly awsome.

LOL, and try not to yell (all uppercase), even if you're upset. It hurts my ears.

I laughed at the Goober quote.
Love projects like this. It is what inspires me. If my S2k blew up, and I had the time and ambition, this is exactly what I'd love to do. Good job.

haha, yeah I dont know what the hell point he was trying to make about your front end, the only thing I can imagine is the extra 80-90 lbs up front. BFD, run a couple pound heavier springs up front and a thicker rear swaybar, done

Dont listen to the haters, hell Ive had my share of Mustangs and now a vette, Ive never even had an S2K and Im still more excited about this project than anything else going on around here This is the problem though with posting a project too early, it always takes longer than you think and people dont stop bugging you. I got the same problem on another forum with my Blacktop 4AGE going into my 74 Triumph Spitfire. Damn I wish I didnt make a thread about it until I was finished

Anyhow, godspeed and shine on you crazy diamond!
