im in the same boat, i just got my gears and im looking for 8-10 hp through out the rpm range and im kind of stuck on wether to get the headers of vafc, yea the j's header is alot but a friend of mine has a TT supra and its like a damn computer that needs constant tuning "my cars not running right " is his almost daily statment and i just dont want that level of tuning in my car. I am looking for 10 more hp but im not sure where to get it from.

I have VAFCII, I like it because it's great for the vision impaired BIG DISPLAY and looks cool on the dash

I have it on my '01. Biggest difference is that you continue power to redline. Prior dyno charts shows noticeable drop off after you hit peak. Basically last 600 rpms to redline or so. Probably 15-20 more hp at 9k than b/f.

I've read the later years ecu doesn't get as rich as the '00-01 so may not be as useful to those.

Basically more power from 5800-9000. Nothing wrong with that.

I have a V-AFC 2, haven't got it tuned yet, but will be shortly. I have heard that you can pick up 8-10 whp from them. Worth the $ in my opinion.

Pic...

Love it mounted there...very much withen the glance area, and withen reach as well. Doesn't obstruct my view either.

I have a HUD control which covers up the left hand area near the steering so can't do that.....a shop did it so the install is pretty clean and they ran it through some panels

Had VAFC2 before I went turbo/AEM EMS and made as much as 15hp in mid range and 8hp on top. For 259USD it's a pretty good bang for the buck.
