vafc question

Default vafc question

Would it void warranty on engine if you purchase and install a vafc.

yes.

It would consist of splicing the wires to the ecu. You can get the harness which prevents this, but if your engine were to break due to the vafc and you take it off, it would be really dishonest.

with this harness, they wont be able to tell it was installed. And also i am aware it cost around 150 for a good tune.. If the car ever breaks and need to get repaired , if i would take off the vafc would the memory stay. I have an 00 model and have heared it helps alot in performance, how much hp am i looking at in gaining in the rear wheels. Thanks

If you do a search in UTH, you should see reported gains of anywhere from 5-15 rwhp.

for the money its well worth it.. So just to clarify, if i get a harness, they would never know i installed it and will be able to take off and just re install when dealer fixes problem??

I got 8 hp gain from my VAFC, tuning was $100 I have a harness also the harness is kinda annoying tho, b/c the kick panel dosn't fit well with it.

Talk to BlueS2000Boy. He has VAFC w/harness, and is still under warranty (I think).
