Default VAFC, is there a way to switch from "better mpg" to "best performance"

Is there an option on the VAFC that can support numerous settings? I.E. im cruising to work or somethign else and want the best gas mileage possible, then I see a Z06 I want to race so I pop the sucker into sport mode?

The V-AFC has two sets of settings, Narrow Throttle and Wide Throttle. The Wide Throttle point can be set by the user, let's say at 50% throttle. Techncially, you could have narrow settings for driving to work (since it's usually less than 50% throttle), and wide settings for racing (since racing is usually over 50% throttle). The issue is that the stock ECU will eventually correct your narrow throttle settings, and the car will end up running like it was stock during narrow throttle. Wide throttle does not do the same, the ECU does not "learn"at wide throttle. Also, to get more power with V-AFC you lean out the air/fuel...using less fuel makes more power...which is exactly what you would do if you wanted to lower gas consumption during narrow throttle. So, technically, any race settings would also be good for gas consumption...in theory. but to answer your question, I've alread messed around with trying to lower the fuel in narrow throttle for better cas mileage. While it worked for maybe half a tank, it ended up going back to normal pretty quick. It also only seemed to give 20-40 more miles per tank.

gotta be very careful when it comes to leaning out the car.. yes it gives you a little bit more power.. but if you over do it.. then BOOOOOOOM!!... there goes your plugs.. better hope the electrodes dont hit the top of the piston.

Uhm, yeah, that's why the car is dyno-tuned with the air/fuel readings being charted. So, sure, if you don't dyno-tune it correctly it can be bad...but that's not how any experienced tuner would tune a V-AFC.
