Talking VAFC tune results

Bad picture but this is all I could get for you guys.

Well wednesday I went ahead and got my vafc2 tuned by a professional in southern california. My current mods are a comptech icebox and t1r 70r sparrow on a stock cat. First pull without tune made 231 horsepower and after a couple more runs and some tuning i was at 237 hp at peak. This was all done on a Dynapack. 6 hp peak doesn't seem like much but the whole powerband was much smoother and there was never a point where the new tune had a disadvantage over the stock tune. Vafc gets a from me.

When I was NA I got 8 WHP and 6 lbs. tq. on a DynoJet. 231 to start is a high number.

Dynapacks supposedly read high but there's one in my area that's within 1-2hp of a dynojet every time. Also, dynapacks are much better for ECU tuning than dynojets. You only got 6hp because it's a MY05. On a MY00 you can get twice as much power with just a tune. The newer the S, the more aggressive it's tuned from the factory. Of course, the VAFC might not seem so nice once your stock ECU learns its patterns and compensates for them, bringing your AFR back to where it was in the first place. I'm sticking to standalones, but good results for a MY05.

From what I've researched, the ECU does NOT relearn the afr.
