Default Valuation Question

If there are two AP1's in a similar mechanical / cosmetic condition, which one will be valued higher (more desirable / higher demands)? KBB shows the silver one at higher price but not much higher.

2001 Yellow on Black with 33k miles (1 owner in NC, garage kept and not driven in bad weather)

2001 Sliver on Black with 13k miles (1 owner in NY, garage kept and not driven in winter)

KBB usually has no clue about the S2000; what are the "values" they indicate?

If in doubt lower mileage is more "valuable."

I am guessing that OP wants to buy the car/colour that will retain or gain the most value.

Which is not a discussion I want to take part in....because its a disappointing outlook to have, to put it in gentle terms.

Assuming conditions are similar and all VIN tags are accounted for, the one with the lower mileage is worth more. Those two mileages really shouldnt be all that close in price if the owners know the market. If they are, either the higher mileage one is over-valued or the lower mileage owner doesn't know what it's worth.

They are priced at exactly same. I wish I could find a 2002 or newer but can't find in the same price range with one-owner and low mileage example.

I shopped for over a year before I bought while waiting for the right one to come along. Eventually, you may need to make a concession but don't get discouraged. Figure out what aspects are most important to you, which ones you can flex on and what price you're willing to pay. I wanted a low mileage, GPW white, with hard top. I wound up finding this exact car but in Suzuka blue so I flexed on the color.

Like others said the lower mileage one would be the money car but obviously unless you buy it and put it away that mileage will go up. I would go with which color you prefer.

Yea if you intend on driving it a lot, negotiate a higher mileage vehicle down. I don't drive mine often but I'm always conscious of the miles I am putting on it.
