Default Value of a used Hard Top

So apparently my father is jealous of the hardtop on my Miata, but has had a hard time finding one new or used. However, I just found a 2002 with a hard top for sale, and they might be interested in selling the hardtop separately. Any idea what a used (from a 2002 with 15k miles) hardtop is worth?

If its mint, is will hold 80% of its value, since they are VERY hard to get these days.

I believe the hardtop production has ceased. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I know for a fact that the factory that made them burned down. Honda stated they will be built in a new plant, and be delayed. Later on, I guess they decided to stop making them.

As far as I know they stopped. Look on the for sale area of the site and you should be able to find one for 2200 or so, that is including the install kit.

hardtopguy

honda accessories

Notice, no actual hardtop listed on either site. I'm pretty sure it's not for sale new as of now. Dealers are horrible about not knowing their head from a hole in the ground. So if they tell you they still offer it, ask for proof.

You could order a Mugen one from Kingmotorsports.com for about $2800, I believe. Don't know if they have any in stock though.
