Default valve cover bolt missing

Anybody had this happen to them?
I just changed my oil for the first time and i noticed it missing.
I just check it a week ago and i know it was there.
And the one across from it is half way out.

Is this covered under warranty if it just dissappears?
only 3350 miles

Kinda hard to call it a warranty replacement if the part isn't defective...

I'm sure its only a few dollars to replace!

I had the same problem with my specv.
One day i realized that one of the bolts is missing. I took it to the dealer and they said it was probably loose and fell away so they put a new bolt underwarranty.

I hope honda can take care of this without me wasting a trip to them.
I went there today and they told me to come back tuesday.
Since i don't have a set of allen/hex thing to tighten it.
I went there and borrowed tools to tighten it.
I want to see if i can get them to take one off a new one heh, since they don't have the parts
in stock.

Take the loose one off, go to a Home Depot, get another exact match, don't forget to buy some allen wrenches, go home and tighten her all up.

While you are at Home Depot, I'd recommend picking up one of those starter tool kits. Don't cheap out on some Kmart crap either. Buy the good tools now or you'll be buying the Kmart crap twice.

actually, i finished stripped one when i was taking it off cus teh dealer probably started stripped it when doign the spark plug torque TSB. i just went to a local bike shop and they had the same bolt, but just not as long. it holds the cover in place, can't really tell the difference.

when i first put it on, i checked it periodically to see b/c it was shorter if it would loosen. so far no problems
