Default Vandalism and Theft

i have the stock alarm and want to get an alarm, but on this board all i hear are people saying their car got jacked or stripped even though they have a great alarm system. how many hear have been victims to theft or vandalism? im kinda paranoid right now.

Now by stock alarm do you mean the horn beeps, or you hear an alarm noise? My horn beeps, and to the best of my knowledge it isnt an alarm.

you can add a proximity alarm to the OEM alarm for about $40. your factory alarm has an unused hood-pin sensor that you can plug a prox sensor into. this should give you a few extra seconds of the alarm sounding to startle the perps or get someone else's attention.

all remotes have a panic feature to sound the horn but that doesn't mean there is an alarm. if you aren't sure because you bought used; roll the windows down, close the doors, lock the car with the remote, reach inside and unlock the door, open it.

Car alarm, seat locks and wheels locks, these are the things we have to do.
Ahhh a great world we live in?
