Vanity Plates -- Need some instance
I like quicksilver!
I only get four letters, sooooooooooo
QKAG (quick silver)
or
Hg (mercury = quicksilver) subtle except for chemists.
perhaps just SLVR
Of course if I keep my diminished front plate, perhaps I should go for:
TINY
Barry

Jose,
Why is your car retired? Did something happen to it?
I'm not big on vanity plates myself. When you get pulled over, lots of things can influence the cop's decision about whether or not to ticket you. I've gotten off more often than not, and don't need a plate to provoke them.
Plus if any motorist ever wants to call you in for doing something stupid, they'll have a lot more trouble memorizing standard plate letters!

When I buy my S2K, it will be right after my commissioning into the Navy as an officer, and I plan to be assigned to an Arleigh Burke class destroyer, so, my plate will naturally be: TMAHWK for the Tomahawk cruise missile that the Arleigh Burke is armed with, and because the S2K is about the closest thing to a land-based cruise missile
