Everyone will tell you that you can't ship a car to Japan but it's complete bullshit. I did it with no trouble. Just had to get a prefilled out letter signed by my commander saying I understood that I was responsible for the emissions and JCI while the military is only responsible for shipping costs. If you love your S like I do, bring her back to the motherland!

That's always an option too! If I had been of a rank to be able to have a car when I came over I would have brought the S in a heart beat. But for is they require us to be e5 or above to have a vehicle and I came as e4. I would have loved to have to S for track days at Fuji

You could always get another s2000 while over there, shifting with the left hand!

It would be tough, they are very expensive in Japan. 2007-2009 with low miles pull 45-50k. Older AP2s still pull in the 30s and only high mile 1999 AP1s are typically found in the sub teens.
