Default Veilside question

Hey everyone, I am a newbie here. I am lookining into buying the Veilside Body kit. I have 3 questions right now.

Where is best place to buy the kit?

How low is the front compared to the stock front end?

With the rear, what kind of modifying do I need to do for the muffler and tips? I do not wanna change too much If I dont need to. I am guessing the stock mufflers dont fit...but if they do that would be good... But if not can I just change the mufflers?

Any other information that I need would be helpful thanks!

Sorry I don't have the answer to any of your questions, but I'm going to prepare you....a large portion of the S owners on the board think the Veilside kit is hidious and will tell you not to rice out your car, or to get a C-West kit and call it a day. Good luck with your stuff, try checking the sponsors (bulletproofautomotive.com) for the kit.

Remember, it's your car, you have to live with it, so do what ever makes you happy...just a forewarning about the peoples maybe flaming you

Have fun!

If you go to evolutionautosports.com there are many pictures of the s with the veilside kit on it. Maybe you can look and see how far from the ground it is. I saw one s with the kit and he replaced his stock exhaust with the comptech but i dont know if the stock exhaust would have still worked. Im sure if you call evolution autosports they could probably provide you will all of the info you could ever want on the car. Since they specialize in the S2000.

North9586 thanks for the warning, I have been reading the board alot though for past month and I have seen many negative veilside comments..... I have seen the veilside in person on the highway at night and I thought it looked hot.... but that was almost a year ago so I didnt really get to look good and hard at it.

ReDevil, thanks for the info I will contact them.

jip man dont worry about if other people dont like the kit.. its not their car.... if you like it then get it.. personally i like it alot. especially the back and the tonneau cover. No matter what you do to your car someone isnt going to like it. I was on a post the other day where someone was saying that the risk involved with turbo/superchargers was way to high to ever do that to the car..... to me thats crazy i would do it in a heartbeat. different opinions.

The front is a bit lower than stock, especially if you get the carbon fiber lip addon. The rear needs to have a large chunk cut out of it for use with the stock exhaust, but since the chunk is underneath, you'll never see it unless you look under the car...just make the cut clean and things will look fine (it's the canister that gets in the way, not the tips).

I'd suggest getting aftermarket exhaust though, it would fill it and look much better IMO. If you are going to do a full kit, then you may as well do it all. Oh, and get the CF lip too, I think it makes it look better. Post pics when you get it done!
