Default Velcro on roll bar?

My car has vertical velcro strips on the roll bar. Does anyone have any ideas why?
Thanks!

Maybe the previous driver was tall. Had the seat so far back that the leather rubbed against the plastic and made noise.

Makes sense! I moved the seat all the way back and it lines up. There is none on the passenger side either so I think you've nailed it.

Maybe you can also enlighten me to purpose of the little hooks on the firewall? Hanging up little mini-me suits? Stow bags?
Thanks again

Honda sold stow bags as an accessory and the bags hang from the hooks.

LHT just started marketing very similar bags. which attach to those little hooks behind the left seat (one hook shows in the photo).

Thanks for the replies and links. I am enlightened! I am impressed as heck with this car and the engineering involved. Love it!
