Don't mean to shout..sorry about that. I have been emailing Daniel F. Carney the author of the newly released "Honda S2000" book on our car. Dan has graciously accepted an invite to join our community here and appear live in the "CHAT" room at 7:00 P.M.(MST)/ 6:00 P.M. (PST) tomorrow night (Monday). I believe we owe this man's efforts a big thank you and would encourage all on the board to turn out and here what he has to say.

Thanks

Please post if you'll be joining us.

Sure, that would be great. Can I just go to the chat area, or will I need
to register and log in?

Wow, thank you very much. The book didn't arrive sooner because I argued
with the publisher for almost a year for the book to be approved. I
started after I saw the car at the Detroit Auto Show in Jan. 99, and they
approved it in November '99 almost six months after the U.S. press launch.
They were skeptical that there were enough Honda enthusiasts out there to
justify the book and thought that only Porschephiles would buy books about
their cars. I think we'll prove them wrong.

thanks for the note,

dan

For those who are chronologically challenged, that would be:

9pm EST
8pm CST
7pm MST
6pm PST

Drive around in a car with no clock long enough and these simple conversions become a major ordeal.

Thanks for setting this up, Utah!

Excellent! Thanks for setting this up Utah. I just got my copy on Friday and it's a great book.

Sure...I was the one who located the book and publisher the day Motorbooks first made it available - it is a good book and "meeting" the author would be kewl!

Dan,

I enjoyed reading your book very much!

I purchased it direct from Classic Motorbooks back in February and read it cover-to-cover the day it arrived.

Now that I know you're going to be joining us in our Chat Room tomorrow night, I'll have to review the book again so that I'll have some good questions ready for you!

Talk to you then,
