Very steep driveway
Anyone out there deal with a very steep driveway? The s2k is going to be a TT car eventually. As it stands I can currently get it into the garage without scraping anything. Add in a front splitter and some ohlins and I think I might have a problem.
Suggestions graciously accepted. I think some sort of small ramp after I get the nose of the car in the garage might do it. Should be able to manuever the start of the driveway without hurting it too bad. It's the edge of the garage and driveway that worries me. Will probably bottom out about mid door if it's lowered at all.
Here's what I'm working with.

thats nothing bro...my spotless and pristine condition s2000 now has a scraped up under front bumper because the driveway for my work is insanely steep..i have to take it inches at a time now..sucks....i had to sell my daily and have to daily my S
as long as i work at this spot, i cant lower my car unless i plan on driving something else to work

Xanthus, you might consider something like this, when the car is done.

I've got the opposite problem at work..i can't raid my FJ Cruiser, or add a ski rack. As it stands, the FJ's OEM roof rack hits the warning bar, when I enter the parking garage.

Mostly city? Actual city? Or suburbs with some stop lights. NYC at any hour or Chicago at most times is an actual "city" environment.
"per tank" is a very bad way to estimate it. But if you're filling up when the tank needs 10 gallons...then you're doing 22-23mpg. Which isn't bad at all for actual city use.
try calculating MPG.
An FJ or any off roadable V6 SUV in an actual city environment would likely net like 10-12MPG or so. And 15-17 is normal for suburban use. I'd wager around 20-22mpg for 70-80mph highway cruise use.
Back to the topic...OP...why not take the driveway at an angle? My S2000 is on Öhlins and has a CR lip. I clear steep driveways just fine.

If you can't take the driveway at an angle because there are cars in your way sometimes....buy two 2x8's from a hardware store.
I once showed up at an alignment place that had too steep of a rack. So I walked to Menards in the same parking lot...bought a 2x8 for like $5/ea or something...and asked them to cut the length in half (free).
I used them and then left them at the shop because I didn't want to put them in the car lol.
I'd be more worried about beaching the middle of the car as you enter the garage. How much clearance exists there? Good chance of dragging the belly?

I hope he manages to clear that driveway with some careful angled steering control.
