I have seen one in real life. The wheels looks really nice but AJ PwR said it will not fit to normal S2000. It needs some kind of modification to the hub or something.

the splines are different.

basically you need to use the USDM wheel as a "donor" and cut out the midsection and affix it to the VGS wheel.

Sounds like the guy selling the wheel is doing a little false advertising--if the wheel doesnt fit perfectly without modding it. Also, I read another thread saying that you had to replace the entire steering column.....

From the ebay auction:

"Fits Perfect for all USDM 2000-2004 Honda S2000."

LOL, yeah right.

You're bidding on one Genuine JDM AP1 VGS Honda S2000 V-Spec Steering Wheel. Color:Black & Grey. Very RARE and hard to find Honda S2000 VGS Steering wheel. "VGS" top of the line model for Honda S2000 in japan. Only a few of these were made. USDM Steering Wheel found in the States is very different. USED but in Working condition. SRS Airbag Intact. Replace your Steering if the airbag has blown. You might even consider selling your existing Honda S2000 Steering Wheel for JDM VGS Wheel. May fit the USDM 2000-2004 Honda S2000, pls do a Search before bidding. I have seen Honda S2000 Steering Wheels installed on 1997-2001 Honda Preludes, 1996-2000 Honda Civics, 1994-2001 Acura Integra etc may fit other hondas [Please do a Search before bidding]. Your Interior will stand 10X better. Great look for Carshows, Auto Crossing, at the Track, or even on the Streets. Earn Extra Points at Carshows. Will ship World Wide with NO extra fees. Item will be mailed out from japan once payment is received. EMS airmail 3-5days delivery with tracking # & insurance. Payment must be paid immediately after auction has ending, result of negative feedback for non paying bidders. Item sold as is, NO returns. Need any other Genuine Honda JDM Parts email info@jdmupgrade.com

Let's seperate the myths from the facts about this VGS wheel.

Bold 1 - "Only a few of these were made." | This is basically pure BS, it's a JDM only car. How many were manufactured is not consistent with how many of this wheels are available on the market regardless of fitment.

Bold 2 - "May fit the USDM 2000-2004 Honda S2000." | He's not lying on this one but this is outright misadvertising. It will NOT fit without modifying the spline of this wheel. If you look at image 2 on the auction you'd see that the spline of the VGS wheel is unique to itself. The non-VGS AP1's spline is completely different from this.

steven975 basically said it all about how to get this VGS wheel onto a non-VGS car. There are only a "few" working versions where this has been done successfully till date. Perhaps those "few" owners of this transplant would chime in on their thoughts.

Puddydaddy replaced the spline and has one on his car. So far he has had to tear apart a US steering wheel to get the spline out but he did it. Check him out on the Florida forum.
