Default Viewcam/Camera Mount Comparison - ztec, speedmount, mg racing

What do you think about the ztec, speedmount, mg racing mount and other camera mounts that fits our car? What do you like and dislike about them? Under what driving condition do you usually use the mount?

I am thinking about getting a camera mount for my s2k. At this point, I am biased towards the ztec camera mount mainly because of its design; it's very flexible. Unfortunately, I haven't seen and heard too much details about other mounts out there so your feedback/opinion will be very helpful !

I was happy with my MGRacing camera mount until this most recent event (Fall Colors Tour). It seems that the hex screws were not as tight and the mount for the camera shifted slightly. All I could see was tree tops and clouds!

Of course, I should have checked it but I think this was user error. Obviously, being sure it is tightened is the key!

I like the other mounts I've seen just because of their simplicity. The nicest one I've seen is the one that simply clips on the aeroscreen, but it may have too much vibration.

I'm going to go ahead and bump this old post to get some more responses. In addition to the above mounts, please chime in with any newer models that you have experience with.

Can anyone provide some external links to purchase these aforementioned camera mounts? Thanks in advance.

i bought the modifry one. it installed in about 5 or 10 mins, and clipping a camera on is real easy. however, i haven't actually used it yet so i can't comment on that aspect of it. but it seems well made and is unobtrusive when installed.

Thanks for the link. But I don't think that's what I'm looking for since the mount it shows only mounts small cameras. I would want to mount a small video camera so I can use to see my runs at the autox.

A normal sized video camera will fit fine if you fold the glass down.
