Default Virus, or malignant Cookie is blocking my Login on various sites!!

If anyone has had any experiance this... PLEASE HELP! I was roughly introduced to the world of spyware about a month ago, and I recieved a lot of support from members of the site as to how to remove it....

now...

Something is keeping me from loggin into various sites... like s2ki (I am using a work computer), Aol and so forth... I went through and attempted to delete every potential harmful program or random cookie I could find. ...but still no help. I also ran Spy sweeper, Spy bot search and destroy, hijacker, Norton Antivirus multiple times each and can find nothing. S2ki, and hondagal suggested that I might have a cookie that is blocking my logins... but I have not clue where else to look. If anyone knows what to do... I'd be forever GREATFUL... again

I will not be able to post in reply, often... so please continue to post thoughts as if the problem is not fixed until I state otherwise.

Thanks for everyones help

Oh, I thought c3 helped resolve this problem.

Did you go to your tools, internet options and clear all cookies?

Wipe and re-install.

With everything that's happened in the past with your machine, just dump it all and start fresh if you still have troubles.

If you are at work, then it is possible that a firewall at your company is blocking your access to particular sites. If that is the case, then you cannot do anything about it.

If you are not at work but are running a personal firewall (eg norton's internet security, zonelarm, blackice defender etc) then check your settings.

To test if this is the case, turn off your firewall (disable firewall) and try hitting this site again. If all works fine then it is indeed your firewall. Turn it back on afterwards and check your settings.

Eg Zonealarm - if you have this on high security settings it will block cookies and stuff up websites such as hotmail and this site.

To get around this either lower your security settings, or go into the options and and add this site (and the other ones you want to use) to the list of sites that are safe.

I don't know what worked... but I was forced to restore my computer to a date about a week ago... in the haste of trying to fix it, I accidently deleted a componant of IE. So something along the lines naturally corrected itself in the meantime. Very odd...

thanks for the help, all...
