Part of my family is from there. I recommend parking the S in a good garage and Uber the rest until you leave. Commander's Palace and Pasca'sl Manale are a must. No shredded clothes at the Palace. Sunday brunch is best, IMO.

 

I'm not with the S this week. It's safely at home. I flew from Phoenix to Dallas with no problem last weekend, yet AA canceled my 7:00 p.m. flight to New Orleans and wanted to rebook me from a Sunday flight to a Tuesday flight for a work convention that started early Monday morning. I ended up catching a midnight flight to Lafayette, renting a car and driving down in the middle of the night. I returned the car within 24 hours, so the $120/day charge would stop. I'm in classes 8-4:30 through Saturday and then hope to return home on this Sunday.
