The only downside I';ve noticed with my new metal plaques is rthat they rattle against the plastic windshield surround. I'm not too worried theough as I plan to buy some sticky felt to quiet them down, and they look so great on the car.
I noticed this immediately when I first put them on. My concern was that the rubbing would mar the polished finish of the plaques. My solution was to stick a little black rubber foot (the kind that come on sheets and you stick them to the bottom of appliances or whatever) on the plastic winshield surround to keep the visor from rattling against it. It works well and you can barely notice the rubber feet.
Got my stickers last night and put them on immediately. LOVE THEM.
They have a metal look and feel to them. Fit's perfect.
They are Aluminum!
Man i wonder how some people surive in this world. We need some thinning of the heard, AKA natural selection to take place before we are all doomed.
I guess you have enough smarts to own a S2K though, so there is hope for you.
Anyways they are damn nice.
Personally the bigger one i think would look better if you lowered the S2000 and maybe put honda above, but i suppose honda would not like that very much.
I give them
PS the are preapplied with contact adhesive which i was surprised at. thought id have to apply my own.

Good idea! I actually have some of those lying around.

Best solutions so far?? Felt, rubber feet? Any other suggestions.
I was going to put a big strip of the fuzzy side of velcro, cut lengthwise up there, but I think I'll try the rubber knobs first since I already have some and they are smaller.
I didn't really have a rattle per se, but I new the plaques would lightly rub against the plastic around the winshield.
If you haven't already, check to see if the plaques are making contact with the plastic. If they are, there's a chance scuff-marks will appear on the plaques over time. If they aren't making contact, I guess you got lucky

Yeah, this is strange. I haven't noticed any issues yet. I double checked mine and they don't even touch the trim piece. In my model year, there is an existing rubber nub that keeps it off the trim. Don't the later models have thosed nubs too???
Here's what my visors look like. Notice how close they are to touching the plastic frame...even with the rubber bumpers installed:
Here's a picture of the rubber bumper I stuck on there (blue arrow). Notice where the visor had always pressed against the plastic frame before I put the plaque and bumpers on. That indentation (red arrow) is what made me nervous about getting scuffs on the plaques.
Strangely, there was already a bumper on the other side of the visor:
To all who say their visors don't touch the plastic frame, what is different about my visor? What keeps yours from touching the plastic?
