Default Voiding Warranty

I just recieved my vehicle service contract and read through it. It did not list what modification will void the warranty coverage. Basically my question is, will such modifications as exhaust or CIA void my warranty?

Thanks

Dave

I recall another member stating there were certain exhaust that didn't void the warranty. Not to sure about the CIA but if you were to get a comtech sc installed by honda then your warranty is still good for sure =)

The Moss-Magnusson bill states that the warranty can only be voided if it can be proven that the aftermarket part caused the damage.

Its the WARRANTY CLAIM that will be denied not a voided warranty if the modification is proven to have caused the damage.

In lamens terms,

If you put an aftermarket exhaust on your car and you break a suspension component, technically they cannot deny your claim for suspension repair, unless they can somehow prove that having that exhaust caused the suspension failure (highly unlikely)

It also helps to have a good relationship with your service advisor/ and or/ mechanic. They can go a long way to covering a repair on your car with mods that may be questionable to the problem.
