Well, after recomendation to get some lightweight wheels, i deciced to see what was going on. Are the volk te 37's noticbly lighter then the stock wheels? How much do they go for? where can i get them used? Are they weaker, thus cauing them to ghet dented and bent easier? Thanks, Mike.

Good luck finding used TE-37's used in the proper offsets for an S2000 unless someone here is selling some. Yes they are noticably lighter than stock. I think 17s are around 16 lbs and 18 are around 17.5 pounds. They are just as strong or stronger than stock. They are considered by many to be the benchmark that other aftermarket rims are judged by. You are looking to spend anywhere from 2500 bucks for 17's to well over 3000 for 18s with tires though.

Well actaully, i was planning on getting a set of powdercoated black ones, but in 16", this way the speedo and tach are still accurate. Mike

hey THRILLR,

that is exactly the setup that i have on my car.
expect to wait about 3 months on the wheels, as black is a special order color. i have a few pics of them on my silverstone s2k, but cant seem to upload them to my photo album.

i have some more photos if you are interested.
let me know if you have any questions.

brianb,

hey are those 16 inch te37 rims on your ride? thats the exact size im looking for the s2000. can you give information regarding what the offsets and the size of the rim is? like the tire width and stuff like that. im want 16's so that way i can still use oem s02's.

to answer a few of your questions. they are TE-37's. they are 16x7 up front and 16x8 in back. the front offset is +42mm the rear is +46mm. right now i am running Yokohama a032r's. a 225/50-f and 245/45-r. when i need a new set of tires i plan on running the OEM s-02's. there shouldnt be any fitment issues.

i cant really tell you how much a used set would go for. i can tell you that i would be REALLY surprized if you found a set for the s2000. if you order them new, you can order any color you like from the factory. i would expect to pay between 1600-1900 for a new set.

on a bathroom scale, the fronts weigh 11.xx and the rears weigh 12.xx. much lighter, and stronger than the oem wheels.

all in all...i am very pleased with them.

Hey cool! yours is the first S2k Ive seen with 16' TE-37's. I considered running those for my race wheels too, but they will most certainly rub if your car is lowered. They look very nice though.
