I'm in agreement with WRS2K. I have both the titanium OEM and titanium Voodoo and I keep the OEM version on all the time. WRS2K's argument about leverage being a good thing is especially critical on the track. You don't want to be searching for a gear when the adrenaline is rushing.

Try all the ones out there, go with whatever you like. I'll probably try more and then put the titanium OEM back on.

Not trying to thread jack, im pretty set on getting the voodoo knob for the wieght and countersunk reasons, but i like to shift with my hand on the side as well, i really hope having a round knob won't be awkward. Anyhoo. If anyone has some full interior shots with the voodoo knobs could you please post em. I want the black i just want to if it flows well. also any problems with fingerprints or scratches? Cant wait i just hope it lives up to all the hype : )
Thanks

Thanks for the reply coolblue..had not thought of the CR knob as of yet. Wanted to see what all the hype was in re: to the voodoo knob. Love the short throws and the "short shifter" feel, but yeah, the "funky" metal smell.... I think I might part out of it. Maybe sell it for 50% off or something. Anyone interested PM me.

oh..and we do have the "coolest" color...

With the stock shifter, I have to bend my wrist to grab the shifter (I rest my right elbow on the center tunnel) and this action is not ergonomically correct. It hurts after a while. I even found myself shifting by grabbing the hexagonal nut with my fingers, which is used to secure the shift knob. It was becoming ridiculous.

Then I tried the Voodoo knob. Shiny black. It is very comfortable. No metal smell. But it's way lighter than the stock shifter. The shifter feels more notchy. Still, it's worth the compromise.

Voodoo Titanium is an option. But it adds little weight, and it's expensive. You pay for the exclusivity (Ti), not the weight. There are cheaper and heavier metals, like steel.

Next, I will try the TWM, the one that looks exactly like the Voodoo knob. Hopefully it will sit as low as the Voodoo, and will be even heavier than the stock.

I will try to post a review, including the photos of all three, once I have them.

Here's a photo of my new Arc Titan,

Smaller than the others at 45mm and lighter than stock - Arc Titan 170g Stock 240g.

I like the feel, I'm glad it's not massive because I like to shift with fingers and thumb. Feels very short and precise.

No problem...If you were located near or in SD I would let you check it out. But you're not. I'm sure there's someone in your area running around with a CR knob thats gratuitious enough for you to sample the experience.

I agree with you...Laguna is the coolest color!!!

Good luck!!!

The latter version of the stock shifter, the leather wrapped one, weighs above 400 grams.

To me, it feels considerably smoother than Voodoo aluminum knobs when shifting.
