Default Voodoo vs OEM Ti

Hi there,

Need a bit of help on shift knobs for my 07 s2000. $ isn't an object. I have the Magnum Voodoo Spun pearl on my miata, and I love it.

I was going to get a Voodoo for the S2000, then ran into the titanium shift knob that Hardtopguy sells.

WHich one is better, and do you guys have any recommendations?

Cold weather/hot weather temps aren't an issue. Shifting feel is important. Also if it sits lower, would be nice, but not necessary.

I didn't think you could buy a new voodoo titanium knob anymore...

Rick (stratocaster) isnt doing the titanium knob right now. He just did a group buy real recently. If you could talk him and some more people into getting one I am sure he might consider it.

I haven't felt the titanium voodoo knob being extremely hot, although it hasn't reached 100 degrees here yet. My car has been rather stuffy, but the knob just felt warm. The knob has felt cold in freezing weather, but never to the point where I can't hold it.

I guess my post wasn't clear. I wasn't looking at the VOODOO Ti, but just a regular voodoo with the spun finish.

I was trying to compare how the voodoo feels compared to the OEM Ti, given the heft, size, and fun of shift.

Appreciate anyhelp or pics.

Which sits lower?

The Voodoo sits lower, the OEM Ti is heavier. For shift quality you have to give the edge to the heavier knob, that's what made the Ti Voodoo a best of both worlds deal.

Thanks Lude! Do any of you have side by side photos?

Does the OEM Ti sit in the same location as the OEM knob, but is just heavier?

Though I LOVE the stubby look of the voodoo on my Miata, the shift FEEL is most important. Looks like I am leanign towards the Ti OEM knob.

No side by side pics, sorry.

Yes, the OEM Ti is the same as the aluminum knob, but substantially heavier. I had a Voodoo pistol grip on my Miata. Hated it

I have the voodoo magnum pearl (big fat round thing) and I like it.

Ok going to get the Ti OEM then, unless I hear something else on this thread.

Appreciate your help.

I don't have an OEM Ti knob, but here's a comparison for the height difference. Hope that helps a little.
