Hey guys, I wanted to make a final post regarding these forbes showdowns, so you all understand what has taken place. What you have witnessed, and are witnessing is a created autovote program manipulating the results of these showdowns. I was the guy voting for the RL and the S2000 automatically with a maintanence free voting system. I took a personal bashing from a few individuals from rx8club.com on the RX8 vs S2000 showdown, by placing about 700 votes in the final day, and then succeeded in shutting them down. I saw what was taking place on the Acura showdown, and thought if you're gonna get cheated by a car, why not it be a $53000 Acura RL. We didn't lose here guys, we won, so don't waste your time voting. My only goal was to prevent an SUV from winning, and place the S2000 in the finale.
My work is done. I set out what I achieved to do, and YES, I can beat these guys, as I've done it twice by avoiding two Infiniti SUVS in the final, but I hope you understand that I can't be a part of this stupid meaningless poll any longer. The reason why I did this was because I took a personal bashing for my last minute splurge to beat the RX8 (the car I got rid of for the S2000), and I took it personally. I thought I'd teach these guys a lesson, and watch them desparately grobble, and waste all that time by a computer voting, while I did nothing but leave a computer run. I only had to reboot 3 times during this entire process, and I wasn't even home half the time.
Let them have their revenge, and don't even pay attention to this poll. We already won.
I hope you guys aren't upset with me for bailing on this final, but it had to be done. We should be celebrating an appearance in the finals, which in itself is an amazing feat. No other legitimate contender made it this far, because this poll was about one thing, and that was avenging cars that didn't make into the final. There's simply no way for something like this to be accurate, but the S2000 making it to the finals IS accurate, and the RL is a superb machine in it's own right, so in the end HONDA wins. Lets take this time to laugh at the RX8 fanbois I ran up against, who don't even own this car., yet spent countless weeks voting, only to lose to some guy who didn't do anything but run a simple program.
