It's a night and day feeling. It also gives you a noticable change in engine sound. The car gains about 25whp in a matter of a split second.

It's very noticeable and feels somewhat like a turbo. This is of course assuming you're at WOT...easing into VTEC won't give you that "push".....

I've, one time, felt a little squirming at the rear wheels when going VTEC coming off a sweeping curve on-ramp to the interstate.

Other than that, it's been completely manageable, nothing to freak out about.

My car burns rubber when the Vteck kicks in yo.

Its noticable, but not that noticable.
You can HEAR it, more than feel it, in my opinion.

(especially with the airbox lid removed, or an aftermarket intake installed.. very loud)

At least that's where the REV limits on my 2000 and 2004 were and are.
The official 'redline' of the F20C is 8900rpm, fuel cut-out is 9150rpms. Thats close enough to 1000rpm IMO. Isn't 'redline' on the F22C's 8000rpm, with a 8200rpm fuel cut-out? I'm not 100% sure as we obviously don't receive that engine in our 04 + S2K's.

As for the VTEC push, it felt quite strong when I first had the car, but after you get used to it, it just becomes exhilirating. You can liken it to a turbo I suppose, but its not really the same. You can definitely feel the engine getting frantic though, its great and addictive, and better than a turbo coming on full boost IMO, at least in stock production cars.

if you've never had something with VTEC before, you'll definitely feel it as well. you'll see it as the RPMs climb. i had a '96 GS-R and when VTEC kicked in - you and everyone else around you would know.

i haven't driven a turbo before so I can't compare VTEC vs. turbo.

aside from VTEC push - maybe buy an '02-'03 and use the rest of the $ for mods?

Why do people ask questions they can answer for themselves?

You want to feel Vtec push, drive an Integra Type R! Vtec comes on @ 5500rpm, Type R redlines @ 8400rpm (holds till 9000rpm) and it was 10x more intense than my S2000 is.

I honestly don't feel VTEC unless I'm in WOT. Like from a red light just put the pedal to the metal or when you're entering a freeway. But I can do when shifting into 2nd or 3rd and just driving normally but kicking the rpms to redline, I don't feel much of anything.
