Default Want to remove spoiler

As time goes by im starting to like how s2ks look without the OEM spoiler. Although mine came like that straight from the dealer 7 years back and has been in the FL sun. Im worried if I do remove it the paint underneath might look different or there still might be the outline of the spoiler on the trunk? Maybe a good wash/wax could help? Has anyone done this or would I better off swapping trunks with someone that wants the spoiler?

Is your spoiler screwed into the trunk? If so, the holes may be more of a problem than the paint.

I'd swap trunks.

And the clearcoat will be wrecked. I'll post a picture if you want. All you have to do to check is to remove the nuts under the lid and pull up on the spoiler. It comes off quick. I wax that spot every six months. Doctor says I need meds.
