Warranty
Ok I live in little Rock Ar, just picked up my first s2k about a month ago. My question is, how far can i go b4 i void my warranty. My plans are to replace the clutch soon car has 4000 miles on it got it new but I want about 50 more hoursepower if not more. I know I can add cold air and exuast but I want/need more and what would be the easiest way to gain the needed power.
of all the differing opinions on this site only one holds true throughout the site, you will NOT get 50+whp with bolt-ons alone.
final drive gears will get you the "feel" of added hp by manipulating the gear ratio and giving the car quicker acceleration.
being a MY08, bolt-ons will net you more gains then it would on earlier models. with a good tune (AEM, hondata, and that blue one) and full set of bolt-ons you MAY get 50+. but everything and anything you add can void your warranty.
honda can easily deny warranty coverage on say.... your diff and blame it on your aftermarket intake system.

Yes FI is a must for any gain on this car. When i first got mine my goal was going to be 250-300whp all motor but that was going to be down the road when i got more track time. Now after reading alot on here i know the only way to get those numbers is FI. But i realize now my CR is best kept stock. We win every race except drag with our cars. If u want to go fast straight get a cobra, trans am and supercharge that. My next project will be a supercharged cobra or trans am maybe camaro. But thats years from now
It ant sll about going straight with me, but I want the best all over car I do alot of twisty back roads. And when you say fi I asume you mean Fuel inject, and what do I need to do first I need more take off so diff right but where do I get the parts. I dont mind money i havent been on the sence in years and its alot biger than it was

FI means forced induction. Turbo or supercharger man. LOL well u know if u auto cross they take point off for mods. Thats why im staying stock, but if u dont want to auto cross and u just go on back roads for youre own plesure. Than depends on funds if u have a good stash supercharger, if u don't have a lot to spend header, test pipe, exaust, intake, front strut bar. And good tires thats it

And actually, from a gains perspective (gains = final hp - baseline hp), the early ap1 have the most "gains" since their tune is very conservative. But in the end, after all the bolt-ons and a tune, both ap1 and ap2 end up very close in whp...torque is always in the ap2 win column though.
Ok well I feel like a dumb a== any way what the hell up with a test pipe whats its purpose and where do they hold auto cross nothing like that where i live in arkansas, Ive been trying to get a circute togather but no one is intrested everyones worried about going straight
for autocrossing start with your local sports car club of america. www.scca.com look for it under "solo I"
