Default Warranty issue? US car bought by Canadian

Advice needed. On the weekend my motor let go. Bolt that holds the top timing chain gear in place snapped. Do i have a chance claiming under warranty? Car has only 116000 kms on it-very upset. Any experience dealing with type of issue.

Not a chance in hell! US warranty (which at 116000 kms is not likely to even be relevant at this stage) don't apply to Honda Canada - you (Or the person from whom you bought the car) didn't buy the vehicle from a Canadian Honda dealerhsip so they don't consider that they have any responsiblilty to look after you - one of the downsides in buying stateside and why, when you do, it is wise to secure independent warranty coverage.

Your car is well outside any factory warranty - American or Canadian. Did you buy after market one in Canada?

Sorry that you've had a failure.

like others have already said -- the origin of your car does not matter as you're beyond the warranty period in both time and mileage.

You've got 60k + miles and you think there's any way in hell that it's under a warrany.

Grow up.

Be kind. Most car manufacturers have 100,000 miles factory warranty nowadays
If he got the car as a certified Honda vehicle, there can be a chance his car is under warranty in the US

However OP, since you brought the car over, any warranties that associate with the vehicle will be void by Honda Canada

Name them, Kia and Hyundai excluded I don't know of anyone in the US offering that kind of factory warranty.

I could be wrong, but I remember Dodge offering a lifetime power train warranty at some point when their sales were not doing too well. Today, Dodge offers a 100,000 mile power train warranty.
