Warranty for S2000
Hello, I'm new the the forums. I posted in the introduction section yesterday. I bought my car used, but it only had 800 miles when I got it. It has 1200 at the moment. The guy purchased it in May 2006, but sold the car due to back problems. I got it for around 28k with Lo Jack and Permaplate (not sure what the permaplate does but...yah) I was curious if there is standard s2000 warranty or does it depend on the deal you make with the dealership when you buy it. Due to me getting it used, I don't really know what I get in the warranty. For example my friend has a BMW and for the first 60,000 miles he says he can bring his car into the dealership and get his oil changed for free. Of course, I could call honda and such, but I'm here at work "working" and I was just curious. I also know almost nothing about cars, so I was hoping you could not use acroymns like OEM cause I have no idea what that means. I really want to learn a lot about my car, so I can take good car of it like all you guys do!
Such as when to change the oil and what kind of oil I should use etc. Anyways here are some pictures for fun!

The standard "bumper to bumper" warranty is 3yrs/36K. The powertrain is covered 5yr/60K. No maintanance is included, or loaner cars etc. Hopefully you won't ever need the warranty- it is a Honda afterall
There is an oil life meter in the dash(use the "trip" button to change to the % oil life meter) 10W30 or 0W40 are the recommended oils. The car comes with regular oil. I will be switching to synthetic at the first change. You are already past the break-in point(600 miles) so have some fun and run it to the redline.
Great price BTW- that is amazing. Another poster is asking about a price on a 2004 with 5K miles- the dealer wants $25K for it. $28K is a steal for a 2006 with under 1K on it.

The previous owner should have provided you with the "owner's package" that he got with the car. This will include the owner's manual, maintenance guide and warranty information. If he didn't give it to you, you should call him for it. Most of the questions you ask will be answered in that literature.
