Default Warranty Work

Hey everyone.
I think the synchros are starting to go out in my transmission. I was wondering if anybody has ever tried to get warranty to replace them? I know they are somewhat due to the driver vs. a manufacturing problem, but it's worth a try. And what is the process? Just go into the dealer and tell them my problem, show them my extended warranty info, etc. and see what they say? Any help will be appreciated. TIA!

Yeah show them everything, the problem is they can always say, it was operational error and want cover it, and even though you have a extended warrnaty doesnt mean they have to fix sh!t. They would prob come up with a excuse and refuse service, unless you pay for it. It will especially hard to get warranty work if you have a modded s2k.

heh... my 4th synchro was messed up and it was under warranty but they didn't cover it. they're not gonna try to tear down the trans while it's under warranty because they don't make sh!! off of warranties. unless if your MY was on the TSB for having a defective from manufacturing. You can give it a try but i highly doubt that it'll be covered.
