Watch My S Get Pelted By Large Hail - UPDATED
Wow. Sorry.
Monday evening my wife left her S2000 in the driveway, intending to wash it. Alas, she got distracted by something else (transplanting a rose) until the rain hit. When we heard the hail hitting the porch's roof, I remembered the S and it took me, eh, 45 seconds to grab the keys and head out, fortunately the garage door was open -- I got soaked and hit by a few MUCH smaller hailstones (Maybe 3/8"d?) and the car was inside in under a minute. No damage. I need to show her this topic so she'll see why I sometimes get carried away and leave the office early when a hailstorm is forecast.

Geico is screwing me on the estimate. They are refusing to fix/replace the top because it is older & shows wear. I'll likely be 2-3k out of pocket to get everything fixed. While the car is in getting the hail damage fixed I'm having some other work done to get the car to near-mint condition. Hopefully we don't have any more hail storms this season. Crossing my fingers.
That was very hard to watch. As ridiculous as this may sound, I would have some plush blankets in both of your cars that you can throw on it and also buy a construction hard hat. But, you did the right thing by not running out there.
I would contest Geico's decision of refusing to fix/replace the top. Even if your top was "old", it did not have holes in it prior to this.
Hope you get it all sorted out, dude!

One my worst nightmares. You need a 2-car garage asap.
