Watch "speedvision" Tonight!! S2000
Im watching it again, and notcied a few things I didnt notice last time. The tires were NOT S-02's, and they reved the engine to 9000 while only 2 bars were showing. Granted the car wasnt in gear, but still.
Motorvision has always had a 'pro European' and 'pro German' stance. Let them near a Benz, Bimmer or Porsche and watch them start to giggle. Thankfully, we know better. <rant begins> After watching it for a second time myself, I noticed the driving segments all showed the stook as being crossed up in the corners while the porch motored through. All the while, retaining it's 'refined elegance'. Were they trying to show our car as too much to handle? Obviously their caliber of driver couldn't handle it. Such a crock! </rant off>
Believe it or not...I saw some pretty good stuff about the stook on autoweek / speedvision the other day. Something about an online survey where it got voted #2 Asian car (#1 was Accord) and #1 in some other catagory (I think fun to drive). Corvette was #1 American and Sports car, by the way. I couldn't find anything on the web page, though. Perhaps they will post something soon.

absolutely disgusting!!!!
the comparison between a car that costs appx. 2x more than the s2000 SHOULD NOT be allowed as a comparison. if money were not object, i'm sure many of us would prefer the diablo vt in fly yellow with tan leather....
many of the guys on this site (including me) are saving their monies to enter the sports car market at the price point of the s2000 due to necessity.
i also find it interesting that the very pro porsche segment chose not to show the msrp of the cars tested. this really ticks me off, as money IS an object to many of us.
regarding the test, why didn't they compare a boxster instead of the "s"?? much closer in price.
