Default Water Leaking into Car

Hey guys, need some help.. My car is under warranty and honda isnt covering jack, like usual. Its leaking through the drivers side window on the edge where the rubber connects. Recently, in the morning I see a trail of water marks that goes all the way down to my speakers on the door. The only time ive seen it when I was driving was when it was raining pretty hard and I needed to get a shirt to stop it from flowing down. What can I do about this. Should I keep on trying with honda. Or should I just replace the rubber to see if that works. How much would the rubber piece cost. ONe more thing, I also recently got my top replaced by honda 50-50 due to wear holes, would that had anything to do with it. Thanks.

yup, should be fixed under warranty...
you dont say where you are so we cant suggest a better dealer.
if dealers dont help, then you need to appeal through honda customer service. it will be a pia, but it will get fixed.

shinitsu is a must have for maintenance, but it sounds to me like you have some sorta adjustment issue...

My windows were leaking this exact same manner, and applying shin-etsu to the seals took care of it.

that repair should still be dunder warranty, get it fixed from that angle if the overall warranty isn't working.

they simply screwed up the install

The rubber seals over the door should be able to be slid tighter together. Sit in the car during a sunny day, look at the connection. If you see daylight...it will leak, just slide the front one back a bit. Make sure that the front of the seal is still lined up with the channel on the side of the windshield surround.

If it is leaking up at the front channel, try moving the seal forward a bit, not enough to create a gap in the middle, though.

Remember....BE THE WATER.....close the door and examine closely. If you look close enough, you will find some small area. And that is all water needs.

Also, Honda almost ALWAYS subcontracts out top replacement (according to my dealer). Just find out who did it and go talk to them. Chances are it is a simple fix and they will do it pro bono.
