Default Water in passenger side floorboard

My poor car is taking on water. The carpet on the passenger side is soaked from front to back. I had the windshield replaced a few weeks ago, and thought that a faulty install was the problem. I pulled the carpet up to let it dry, and then tested the windshield. I could not get the windshield to leak. Does any one have an idea as to what could be going on?

My guess is the windshield. I would contact the shop that replaced the windshield and have them redo the repair.

I could be a kink in the airconditioner plumbing, others have had this problem. Check under the dash on the passenger side and see if the drain hose from the A/C is free from kinks. Others mentioned that it had been caught on a passengers foot, bent, allowing water to build up and not drain correctly, this was causing water to fill the passenger side floor, check with the dealer I think there is a TSB for it.

I've had problems in my Jetta with a poorly designed AC condensation tray ... condensation from the AC is supposed to collect in a tray and run off through a tube out to the engine compartment ... but it gets backed up and water starts sloshing into the passenger footwell ...

BUT, with the recent windshielf repair I would definately look to that first ...

Have fun,
Derek

Per Tech Adviser when I bought my S2000 in January:

Honda has issued a Technical Service Bulletin on this subject. It applies to both 2000 and 2001 cars. If your using the air conditioning during high humidity the fan can push excess moisture into the heater box and it will drip in the passenger side. It's a simple repair at the dealership. Since we still have snow here in MI, I didn't qualify for a repair yet! But it sounds like you might. It's free.

Mine leaked also, and was due to a kinked condensation hose on the AC. Once I fixed the kink, no more leak. I haven't heard about the TSB on the other problem mentioned.

I had a huge issue with this. Check out this thread

Don't let this go. At a minimum unkink your hose then call your dealer.
