V2 uses larger diameter piping at the filter end and from reports supposedly yields better throttle response and power gains.

V1 is engineered for improved midrange. V2 is engineered with more of a focus on improved top end.

V1 is carb Legal
V1 can use the bypass

V2 is larger
V2 is NOT carb cert
V2 can't use the Bypass!

Not sure but I can tell you that one of the members here dynoed his car after the V2 (had the comptech) and made 1 more h.p. peak but 5 more tq than the comptech.

The V2 has just now recently switched to the dry filter, and it also has a new water drain valve far superior to that foam bypass thing. If you are decided on getting an AEM CAI and you don't mind the extra cost, I'd go for the V2.
