Is there any consensus on whether one ought to wax the snot out of the S2000 before putting on clear bras?

 

No.. From my understanding when they put on my Clear Bra they strip the wax off were they are going to install the Clear Bra..

 

That's correct. You are supposed to wash the car just before the installer arrives. The installer then removes all wax and polishes from the areas that will be covered with the film.

After the film is installed, you are supposed to wax it just like the rest of your car.
