Hi I was looking at some of the threads and I realised we have members that would post links to some of the old threads for redundant questions. I think they are doing a very good job. Two thumbs up!

I do not own a S2000 yet, I have an A4 and I have been a frequent of Audi forums. During my time of visiting those forums things have changed alot. People change, numbers increase and I think Audiworld became a long way and increased its registered member numbers alot. The problem is that since the forums are really active, every subject has been discussed numerous times to death and it is almost impossible to follow if you are not putting all your time into the forums.

Doing a search is PITA and most of the time you end up with stuff you do not need. (Maybe I do not knoe how to search).

I am a new member to this forum and still in the process of catching up with the rest of the group. Either this forum is really small and new or the search engine is ineffective. I did not really get the answers I was looking for. Same for the forum itself. The members are more of a receiving type I believe in terms of using the forum. I did not get most of the answers I was looking for previously.

Now to the subject, I really appreciate those of you who submit the thread links in their replies. I know it is very time consuming in terms of finding the link but it is very helpful for the newcomers.

I know some of you are frustrated with the questions being asked over and over again, but it does not help just saying you should search the archieves. If you are bothered, please do not reply to it. I think we will be having this issue with the new coming members to the forum all the time. I do not think there is any way other than accepting this as something normal. As I said I use other forums and same things happen all the time. Than again, # of S2000 forum members will be no where close to that Audi forum's since this is not a car that is produced massively.

QueRAM the newcomer

Good point, nwk. I have been surprised to find a resurrected thread at the top of the list some days. It's really a credit to the users and the good software that is here. There is a TON of crapola BB software out there...(look at Porsche Pete's...ACK!) and you will know what I mean.

We have great group of folks here...!

QueRAM, I agree with you 100%. I see this from time to time and it just seems like some people take it as a personal afront that "search" is not used. What's the big deal anyway. If someone who happens to be on the forum knows the answer why not just give it? If you don't like that somebody didn't search first, then don't relpy. Wouldn't it just provide a more congenial forum environment if a simple answer were given and then a courteous suggestion to try the search for more details and for future questions. A while ago some of you were eager to see who got the 100,000 post belonged. If you snuff those who don't search first you may still be waiting to see who did the 100,000th post.
