We should make our own "mantenance schedule."
Due to recent rear end bearing / hub / ? diff vs. CV joint thumping and finding out that this is relatively common on aggressively driven cars (to the point where one member prophylactically replaces wheel bearings and hubs yearly)... maybe it would help if we came up with a recommended "super aggressive / autoX / track / FI" maintenance schedule to warn people what may need replacing / checking....
Feel free to cut, paste, and add items!
Every 1500 miles, check dipstick oil level.
Every 3000 miles, check spark plug tightness and / or replace if Copper plugs
Every 15000 miles or yearly, differential fluid flush
Every 15000 miles AC cabin pollen filter
Every 30000 miles rear wheel hub and bearing replacement
At 30000 miles rear left-to-right inner CV cup swap, replace at 60000 miles.
I think that it's a good idea to have a preseason or prerace checklist, but i think that the conditions for each driver will be too different to have a hard maintenance schedule. I'm interested to see what everyone else has to say though
