Default Weak Axles

Ok, here's the purpose of this thread. We all know Honda made a weak rear end on the S2000. I want to start a thread listing all the problems people have had with their axles. This can be used as proof for us to bring along to the dealership to explain the inherent problems with their product so they know the extent.
Thanks,
Rick

doing things such as burnouts, donuts, etc cause wear of the diff...
the diff doesnt just go out on it own.. the driver is who ruins them

but one good upgrade is the comptech reinforced rear diff...
i hear it is great and strengthens up the diff a lot

Can you guys read the post before you respond please! I'm not asking for your genius opinions, I am asking for people that have had a similar problem with their car. Yod88, you aren't listed as an owner, do you even own an S2000? I've had my S for 3 years and I remember hearing about this problems before I even owned the car. I am trying to get a sense of who had these problems. And no I don't launch or do burnouts. I know 2 doctors in their 50's that have this car and have each had their diff replaced. I have less than 30k on the car btw.

I guess I am a little confused by this thread. To me, this is sort of like the "ambulance chasing" lawyers, or the TV commercials from law firms that say: "If you are involved in an accident, call us and we will get you money that you can collect." Is this what this thread is all about?

For TrackStar (are you a lawyer?), have you tried a search on this board for "weak axle" and see how many threads you find? I must admit that besides your post, I don't recall reading too many others about "weak axle".

Why do you waste your time posting this? I am trying to set up a resource for owners who have problems at their dealer with warranty claims, not for a$$h#les to argue with me.

I had my driver's side axle and diff replace at 15,xxx miles, and now at 29,xxx the pass side axle went. I have not abused the car, but I've had lowering springs on for about 500 miles. The dealer is saying it's faulty cause of the springs. , but its been making funny noises ever since they replaced the diff.
