weighed my s2000
with me, my buddy and half a tank... 3100lbs
he weighs 165 i weigh 185: 350lbs
so the car with no one and half a tank weighs approx: 2750
does that sound about right?? i did it on one of those truck scales.

!! it's funny ...i didn't really notice that much difference in performance though..which is a testimate to the car, but i'm sure it makes some difference. we were pulling some hard corners..for sure..it was fun.
Half a tank of fuel? I assume you mean the fuel gauge bar was halfway down. If so, and your car does the same thing mine does, that would equate to about 5-6 gallons (mine shows empty at about 10.5-11 gallons consumed).
Ok, each gallon is around 6lbs. This results in 30-36lbs of weight missing from a full tank situation. 2750 + 30 = 2780, which puts you right about within the error of margin for the scales, your estimates of your weights (did you weigh yourselves at the same set of scales?), and other factors.
Of course, we don't know if the 2800lbs that our car is rated for is full tank or empty tank
